Imphal, August 14 2010: Man League, Manipur under the sponsorship of Central Agricultural University (CAU) organised a farmers awareness programme at Awang Sekmai today.

CAU Dean Prof N Iboton and Man League Manipur President H Nongleima were the chief guest and president of the function respectively.

Prof N Iboton while speaking at the function stressed on the need of rain water harvesting.

H Nongleima in her speech said that the awareness programme was organised in collaboration with eight farmers clubs in order to enhance production in the area.

Dr Kh Ibohal and Dr RK Tombisana spoke in the programme as resource persons.
