Imphal, June 02: A number of voluntary oganisations and institutions have condoled the untimely demise of noted comic actor, Leishangthem Dhanabir who passed away yesterday.

The Manipur State Kala Akademi, of which Dhanabir was an employee has condoled his demise and added that a condolence meeting with the Administrative Officer the Akademi, Y Bimola in the chair was held today at the office premises.

Attended by the officers and staff of the Akademi, the meeting observed a two minute silence to pay respect to the departed soul.

The Naharol Khongtha-ng Artistes' Assn, the Peace Maker Artiste Assn, Film Fo- rum, Manipur, Theatre Mirror, Thangmeiband Apunba Nu-pi Lup, Lamjingba Artistes Assn, Manipur, Isintha Pangba Apunba Kanglup have also condoled Dhanabir.
