Asserting that the abduction of Dr T Lunkim is a matter of great concern to all people specially to the Kuki community, the Kuki Worship Service, Kuki Welfare Asociation and Kuki Students' Organisation, Guwahati in a joint press release have appealed to the captors to release him immediately without any condition on humanitarian ground.
It further expressed grief and distress over the abduction saying that Dr Lunkim, a father figure to many persons, must not be a subject of such inhuman treatment.
Likewise, the Kuki Christian Church remarked that Dr Lunkim is an old man of 81 years and his confinement for a such a long time would bear upon his health.
It also appealed to the proscribed KLA to release their captive on humanitarian ground and considering his ripe age.
