Imphal, November 19: Under the banner of Manipur State Pensioners� Union, pensioners coming from Tamenglong district took part in the ongoing hunger relay strike being held at Keishampat Junction from 6 am to 6 pm today.

Stir called off: State Bank of India Staff Association, North Eastern Circle has called off its proposed one-day strike earlier scheduled to be held on November 22 following an understanding arrived at with the management, regional secretary N Rana Singh informed.

Agitation threat: With formation of an action committee of the Government college teachers during a meeting held on November 15 at Hotel Excellency, the Government college teachers have threatened to launch a series of agitation in pursuance of their long pending demands with effect from December 1 if the said demands were not fulfilled by November 30.
