Imphal, September 10: Chinga Makha Yanglem Leikai Women Welfare Association and Social Workers' Club, Heirangoithong Bazar, Imphal have condemned the shooting of Joint Director, Social Welfare Department, Manipur, Samurailatpam Saratkumar Sharma on September 8 at around 2.30 pm by unidentified gunmen.

The bodies also demanded clarification at the earliest on what ground the official had to be punished in such a manner.

IGNOU session: The regular counselling session for BCA, BDP, BSW and BPP for the academic session-2005-06 of Indira Gandhi National Open University would resume from September 11.
