2 killed in mishap

Imphal, Jul 28: A woman pedestrian was killed on the spot after she was knocked down by a KamjongImphal passenger bus (MN 01-0964) yesterday at around 5 am at Tangrei Bazar near Kamjong under Chassad police station.

The deceased woman is identified as Junita Keishing (28) of Kongkand village.

In a separate incident, a man has succumbed to injuries at Shija Hospital after he was hit by a bus (MN 04-1468) at Thoubal Okram yesterday at 7: 45 am.

The victim is identified as Okram Thambalngou (60) of Thoubal Okram.
