Imphal, May 25: A mobile check post of 37 AR set up on Pallel-Chandel road seized 985 litres of country made liquor being smuggled in a jeep (MN10 46785) and Tata DI (MN05 2051) by six women and five men at midnight of May 24 near Liwa.

The seized liquor was destroyed in the presence of Chandel police, said a PIB (DW) press release.

Another 600 litres of liquor were also seized by a patrol party of 37 AR on the same road in the early hours of May 25 while being transported in a jeep (MNA 569) which were also destroyed, added the release.
