Imphal, Jul 24: Phougakchao Ikhai Nupi Khunai has refuted that the charges that Namoijam Chaothoi Singh and Huirem Bhakta Singh of Kangvai Bazar Mamang Chongtham Leikai who were arrested by army and latter handed over to the police as members of PREPAK involving in extortion and arm supply.

In a statement, the Lup clarified that they are innocent and simple village folk who earned their livelihood through manual labour and appealed to all concerned to find out why such innocent persons are being victimised.
