Imphal, Jun 23:
Federation of Regional Indigenous Societies (FREINDS) has resented the attitude of the State Govt toward the demand for re-introduction of the Inner Line Permit system in Manipur as a preventive measures toward stopping influx of outsiders in the State.
The Federation had submitted a memorandum in this regard to Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh on April 25, but there has been no response, FREINDS assistant publicity secretary RK Sadananda said in a statement.
He further said that it is really unfortunate that Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh has not kept his words on the issue despite that concern he seemed to have expressed on the floor of the Assembly.
