Jiribam, February 17: A joint meeting of the candidates contesting in 40-Jiribam AC was organised by All Jiribam Working Journalists� Union at Town Hall, Jiribam today.

Out of 8 candidates, only four of them attended the meeting.

They were INC candidate Th Debendra, NCP candidate A Biren, Independent candidate E Dipti and RJD candidate Jabar Khan.

All the participating candidates read out the election manifestos of the respective parties and pledged to translate all the points that have been laid out in the manifestos.

The hall was packed to the capacity.
