Imphal, November 14 2008: TWO CADRES of PREPAK were arrested by the Imphal East police commandos over the last two days.

Imphal East SP, Th Radheshyam informed in a press release that Kharibam Nimai (27) of Mutum Phibon involved in extortion of money from the general public was arrested from Bahshikhong Bazaar in Imphal East yesterday evening.

The police commandos also arrested another PREPAK cadre identified as Thiyam Abung @ Anandkumar (24) of Sagolmang Doctor Mamang, this morning at about 7 from Lamlong.

Eight copies of photographs of PREPAK were recovered from him.

He had been involved in various extortions, SP's press release stated.
