Moreh, February 10: The first foundation anniversary cum blessing ceremony of Jehovah Jireh Children�s Home was celebrated yesterday at its Town Gate premises here with Commandant of 24 Assam Rifles Col Vikas Saini as the chief guest.

While Government officials and prominent functionaries of numerous social organisations graced the occasion as guests of honour, representatives of Church, student bodies and children of the town also participated in the programme.

Besides presentation of gifts to inmates of the children home by the dignitaries and their pledges to provide requisite assistance, Director of the Home Rev.Paoneilam Vaiphei briefed the gathering on history of establishment of the Home.

Rev Paoneilam recalling setting up of the Home in February 2006 with eight orphans and financial support of the general public also urged the people to persist with their generous contribution as number of children had gone up to 13. Initially the Home was established at Canaan Veng of Moreh before shifting to its present location.
