Imphal, March 09, 2010: Demanding construction of the road, locally known as Waikhom Leikai Leirak and located in between Langthabal and Singjamei Assembly Constituencies, local residents of have begun a relayed Wakat Meepham from today.

The protest demonstration would continued till March 11. It is said if MLAs O Joy and Hemochandra fail to give a positive response in connection with construction of the said deplorable road within March 11, the local residents would socially boycott them and half of the National Highway 39 stretch would be blocked to launch various intense agitations.

Participating in the protest demonstration, one Puyam Ongbi Memsana said both the MLAs have not given any attention to development of the said road it is located in between Langthabal and Singjamei Assembly Constituencies.
