Imphal, Aug 07: Reacting to the media report published on August 4 concerning the election of Thadou Students' Association (Sadar Hills) on August 2, the student body has refuted the report saying that no elections were held at any point of time nor new office bearers constituted.

A statement issued by the student body contended that the so called election of August 2 was the handiwork of some dissenters adding that it was in total violation of the accepted norms and didn't conform to the election protocol of the body.

As such the student body has no cognizance of the election and its elected members.

It mentioned that the election of the student body would be held on August 8 at Damdei Christian College, Taloulong under the central committee of TSA and Thadou Tribe Council.
