Imphal, January 06 2010: The 26th Assam Rifles of 26 Sector under HQ IGAR(S) organized a medical camp at Shaibol Village on January 5 where 220 patients were diagnosed and medicines distributed to them.

Lectures on AIDS prevention was also given to the villagers, This Samaritan act of 26 AR was well appreciated by the locals of the area, said a press note from the PRO IGAR(S) .

Whereas in Sehlon today, 43 AR of 26 Sector under HQ IGAR (S) opened a fair price outlet where the items will be available at rates 20% lower than Imphal.

The opening of this outlet will go a long way in easing the burden of the villagers who have to tread all the way to Myanmar for their daily needs.
