Imphal, February 19: A reception function was held in honour of former Sitar lecturer of Shree Shree Balmukhundo Dev Govt Music College, Imphal Prasan who is presently the director of Sitar Land Music at New Jersey, USA at the college auditorium today.

Deputy Director of Art and Culture W Mera Singh was the chief guest of the function during which a citation was presented to Prasan in recognition of his contribution to popularising Sitar at USA for the last 15 years.

Speaking at the occasion, W Mera appreciated the work of Prasan and said it is not any easy job to popularise Sitar in a developed country like USA.
