Imphal, January 21: The first phase of the annual Arambam Somorendra memorial festival of plays had begun at the Barak valley of Assam, said a press release of Arambam Somorendra Trust, Sagolband Meino Leirak.

The inaugural play organized by Sangai Socio-Cultural Development Society was held on January 7 at Silchar, followed by Parlbon Manipuri Meira Paibis at Parlbon on Jan 9 and at Jharagund on Jan 10 organized by Panthoibi Manipuri Handloom Development Society.
