Imphal, October 21: Denouncing non implementation of agreement reached between the State Government and JAC, adhoc employees of various departments today staged sit-in-protest for the third consecutive day today.

The protest was held at the Keishampat Junction from around 11 am till 4 pm.

Talking to reporters on the sideline of the agitation, publicity secretary of All Manipur Adhoc Employees' Association Kh Suresh reiterated that on May 24 this year JAC representatives and the State authorities reached an agreement with the latter assuring extension of the employee group's service for six months followed by regularisation process after conducting a special DPC.

However, the Govt reneged from its stance and on September 24 issued an order for open DPC through the Employment Exchange and MPSC, he reminded.

To protest such policy and inconsiderate attitude of the Govt the Association members had resorted to highlighting their grievances starting with the October 10 protest.
