Adhoc staff stir completes 21 days

Imphal, November 08: The relay hunger strike being launched by the adhoc employees working under various Government Departments demanding regularisation of their service through a special DPC has completed 13 days today.

The adhoc employees under the common banner of All Manipur Adhoc Employees� Association have been carrying out their agitation for the last 21 days.

On the 13th day of the relay hunger strike, around 48 adhoc employees from various Departments like CADA, Education (S), Education (U), Fisheries, Revenue, Horticulture and Soil Conservation, FCS, Power, TD, Agriculture, SCERT, Commerce and Industries, Adult Education, Works took part in the agitation.

The adhoc employees are opposed to the decision of the Government to hold direct DPC to regularise the service.
