Imphal, September 15: Strongly condemning State Government�s failure to check incidents of robbery cases especially in the backdrop of masked gang creating nuisance in various places of the State All Manipur Students� Union demanded that Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh adopt stringent measure to nab and punish the culprits.

The student body also cited involvement of IRB personnel in yesterday�s robbery attempt at Singjamei area as vivid reflection of inefficient security apparatus and strong ground for public suspicion on whether State forces are behind the masked gang menace.

As Home portfolio in-charge CM O Ibobi should think and act seriously on the matter before agitated State public decide to take law into their own hands which would ultimately result in chaos of unpredictable proportion, AMSU cautioned.

Student body warns: The students� union of Presidency College, Motbung has expressed its dissatisfaction over the move allegedly being made by Education Minister to transfer the incumbent principal K Gopal on the sly.
