Imphal, October 30:
In the light of selection of Ph D research scholars in the University for the academic year, 2006-07, Manipur University tribal Students' Union (MUTSU) has appealed to the selection committee to give ample opportunity and encourage tribal students to do research on their own tribes/communities.
In a statement, MUTSU president Haotinkhup Haokip said tribal students should be given the first preference to do research on their own tribes or communities as there have been past instances in which many writers wrongly scripted a particular tribe/communities thereby confusing by their wrong research works.
