Imphal, January 28 2010: Commandant of 8 AR held an interaction with the chiefs and villagers around Singheu COB of 8AR on January 24, a belated statement of the IGAR (S) informed.

The Commandant advised the chiefs and villagers on proper utilisation of NREGA funds for development of the area.

He also attended the problems and grievances of the locals on poor road condition, lack of basic amenities like drinking water, medical facility and electricity in the villages.

The AR unit also provided various assistances including chairs, kanats, shamyana, generator, tube lights, music systems etc and secure environment for the smooth conduct of the ceremony, it added.
