Imphal, May 26: Fervently appealing to either parties involved in the May 20 RIMS Road incident to exercise restraint and pursue reconciliatory step in solving the issue, imphal West unit of NSUI and Kuki women Human Rights Organisation called upon all concerned to desist from adding communal tone to the incident.

In separate statements issued today, the bodies put the onus of solving the row upon the Govt.The Kuki women rights group appealed to both sides to 'shed pride and ego and allowed women to live with dignity and respect in the society'.

Expressing serious concern on the defiant approach adopted by both parties in the May 20 collision row, NSUI desired that the matter be solved through the natural course of law and urged the KSO to call off its proposed general strike.
