Imphal, November 14 2008: Miss Barak, 2008, an inter State level contest for seven sisters of North East India would be held on December 20 at District Mini Stadium, Senapati.

The Youth Hope Foundation would be organising the event under the theme of 'Peace through culture and identity' with the main objective of promoting peace and harmony in the North East region.

The Miss Barak, 2008 contest would be preceded by an indigenous food festival on December 18 and 19.The winner of the Miss Barak contest would receive a cash reward of Rs 1 lakh while the Ist and the 2nd runner up would receive Rs 50,000 and Rs 30,000 respectively.
