Imphal, July 10:
A jawan of the 6 Assam Rifles who sustained critical injuries during a gun battle with MPA cadres at Khathung village in Chandel district on July 8 succumbed at Leimakhong military hospital yesterday.
Post mortem examination ofdeceased jawan is identified as Havildar Bhanu Das (30) of Maharastra was conduct-ed at RIMS yesterday afternoon.
The corpse was dispatched to his native State today.
