Imphal, February 17: Freelance writer, social activist and educationist Gin Gangte of Bunglon High School has been selected for the prestigious Jewel of India award in recognition of his concerted efforts to promote education and literacy among the poor and needy communities in rural areas of Manipur.

Instituted by Delhi based International Institute of Education and Management, the award would be presented to him during a impressive function to be held on March 13 at New Delhi.
