Imphal, November 19:
State Cabinet has approved setting up of a three-member committee to look after the programmes and policies being taken up by Command Area Development Authority (CADA), which is under the Agriculture Department.
The Cabinet meeting presided by CM O Ibobi Singh was held in his office chamber today.
Talking to mediapersons after the meeting, SPF Govt spokesman Gaikhangam said the committee is necessary for the welfare of the farmers.
However, he did not name the committee members saying nomination rest with CADA authorities.
On the agenda of pay-scale of part-time lecturers working in higher secondary schools, which was discussed by the Cabinet, Gaikhangam said the matter needs to be discussed further due to want of all the relevant documents.
