Imphal, May 14: Striving to reach out and improve its relations with the general public, the 14th Bn CRPF today organized its first ever civic action programme in Churachandpur at Bijang Community Hall, Lamka.

The 14th Bn CRPF is presently deployed in the Lamka town area.

During the meeting, the Battalion commandant SJ Speake presented a colour TV set, sports items including three football and volleyballs each, a carom board, nets and stationery items to the villagers through the village chief.

A medical relief camp was organized at the spot afterwards and free medicines were distributed too.
