Imphal, August 28: Following report of outbreak of an unknown epidemic in Sawomphai village of Chandel district, a medical team is set to rush in to the village for taking up necessary preventive measures.

According to information received by the press, at the instruction of Chandel A/C MLA Thangkhulun Haokip, the Chief Medical Officer of Chandel district has made necessary arrangement for despatching a medical team to Sawomphai village where outbreak of an unknown epidemic has been reported.

A seven-member medical team would rush in to the affected village tomorrow along the required medicines and equipments, said a source.
