The fourth North East Trade Expo opened today at Okhla Phase-3, near Kalkaji Mandir, New Delhi.
The Expo was inaugurated by Union Minister Manishankar Iyer at 3 pm today.
The Expo is being arranged by DoNER and organised by NSIC, Delhi.
Eight States from North East including Sikkim are participating in the Expo.
32 stalls including the State Directorate of Commerce and Industry representing Manipur are showcasing their products in the Expo.
The Expo would continue till February 3.The basic objective of the Expo is to promote the handloom and handicraft products of North East States.
More than 1000 viewers visited the Manipur pavilion.
The officer in-charge of the Manipur pavilion Ksh Santakumar said there was high demand for the handloom and handicraft products of Manipur.
Most of the visitors were very much impressed by the Expo and also appreciated the food mela participated by Manipur, Nagaland and Tripura.
