Imphal, May 26: The Chandel Naga People's Organisation (CNPO) Maha Area Chief Association (MACA), students and leaders of Anal, Chothe, Lamkang, Moyon, Monsang, Maring and Tarao have conveyed gratitude to Governor Dr SS Sidhu for his visit to the Chandel district Hqs on May 23. A press release issued by the CNPO informed that its president on behalf of the people of Chandel, presented a memorandum to the Governor highlighting various problems and issues confronting the district such as early completion of Pallel-Chandel road, improvement of basic amenities such as water supply, power supply, construction of cultural auditorium, guest house and plight of Kuki villagers of Chandel border areas.

The CNPO also conveyed gratitude to DC Chandel district Norbert Disinang for arranging an interaction programme between the Governor and the public leaders.
