Imphal, Jul 24: As a part of the party's All India campaign, Mahila Morcha, BJP Manipur Pradesh today demonstrated against price rise of essential commodities in Manipur by shouting slogans.

The demonstrators maintained that prices of essential commodities has been risen dramatically in Manipur as a result of the nexus between the Government and the black marketeers.

Price rise has badly affected the lives of the people, particularly those living below poverty line, they said, while pointing out that PDS items like Kerosene oil is available in the open market at Rs 35 per litre.

Despite the suffering caused to the people, the Government of Manipur is doing nothing to check the price rise, the protestors charged.
