Imphal, September 21: Taking strong exception to the indifference and inaction of Delhi police despite timely complaints against molestation of four Manipuri girls studying at Indraprastha College of Women, New Delhi on September 16, the AMSU decried the alleged discriminatory of the Union Government towards peoples of the North East region.

Commenting on imposition of dress code for students from North East region, a press release issued by AMSU asserted that the Manipuris in Delhi are more decent in their dress than the Delhites.

Noting that there is no guarantee that such incidents will not take place in future, AMSU cautioned all the Manipuris staying in Delhi to be wary of the people there.

It also condemned the molest incident in the strongest term.
