Four UG cadres nabbed

Imphal, Jun 17: During a search operation conducted by Imphal West District police commandos at Canchipur and Langthabal Kunja Awang Leikai, 17 youths were detained for verification, said a press released issued by the SP of Imphal West, Clay Khongsai.

After the verification, four youths have been taken into custody for their alleged link to different UG outfits.

The arrested cadres are identified as Urikhinbam Inaocha alias Jateshwar (34) of Chajing Karam, Mayengbam Thanin (26) of Arapti Maning Leikai both belonging to KYKL, Sarungbam Sanjoy alias Chandramani (28) of Andro Bazar of PLA and Phanjoubam Nelson alias Tenden (34) of Langthabal Kunja Awang Leikai of PREPAK, mentioned the release.

Acting on their disclosure, one Maruti van (MN-05/5654) and an NV scooter (MN-1H/6692) have been recovered from the unauthorised possession of Ph Nelson, it added.
