Imphal, February 17: Senior Under Officer SUO Somorendro Meetei s/o Mani Meetei, a cadet of 14 Manipur Bn NCC and a student of Manipur College and Under Officer UO Heikrujam Jaya Chanu d/o H Jatishwar Meetei of 65 Manipur Girls Coy NCC, reading in GP Women's College have been awarded the Governor's Gold Medals for the year 2006 in the boys and girls divisions respectively, informed a PIB (DW) release.

It may mentioned here that the Governor's Gold Medal is awarded to the best NCC cadet (boys and girls) of the State every year.
