Imphal, August 14 2010: Imphal West district's Senior Superintendent of Police L Kailun (IPS) and Addl SP (Ops) of the district Dr AK Jhalajit are among 12 police officers who along with 17 other ranks of Manipur Police Department would be conferred with the Police Medal for gallantry on the occasion of independence Day 2010 .

According to Public Relations Officer of the Police Department, Vandana Karki, Inspector Md Alimuddin of Imphal East district will be decorated with the President's Police Medal for Distinguished Service while Police Medal for Meritorious Service would be conferred on Officer in-charge of Lilong police station Md Chaoba and Subedar W Bormani Singh of 2nd Battallion Manipur Rifles.
