Imphal, June 12:
Troops of 22 MLI posted at Tulihal Airport saved the life of man who was bitten by a venomous snake on June 10, said the PRO of Assam Rifles in a statement.
The PRO said that a 32 year old man, Thokchom Sanatomba of Maitram was bitten by a snake on the lower part of the right thigh while he was fishing in his pond.
The victim was brought to the Medical Inspection Room by his relatives in a critical condition, said the PRO and added that he was immediately given two vials of anti-snake venom.
He was discharged after his condition stabilised on June 11.
