During a meeting with different student bodies and Manipur University officials held yesterday at the Committee Room of MU on the demand to allow appearing BA/BSc/B.Com 3rd year exams alongwith 1st and 2nd year back papers, the Vice-Chancellor has assured to convene a meeting of the Academic Council, MU in May/June this year to discuss amendment of the existing exam regulations including holding of supplementary examination, informed a release.
The VC while expressing concern about the students affected by the existing exam regulations, pointed out the difficulties in making any adhoc amendment to the existing regulations, it added.
Meanwhile, a statement issued by DM College of Science has appealed for immediate and unconditional release of N Rojitkumar and M Gandhi held in connection with the demand to allow students with back papers appear 3rd year examinations, as an understanding has been reached with MU authority on the matter.
