Imphal, December 06: The indefinite bandh imposed by the Jiribam Higher Sec School along NH 53 has been called off from midnight today, reports our Jiri correspondent.

The decision to call off the bandh was taken after taking in account of the appeals made by several organisations and hardships faced by the people, particularly Christian community ahead of the Christmas.

Yet, the Students Union has warned that more intense forms of agitation will be launched sometime later until its demand for posting adequate teachers in Jiribam Higher Sec School is fulfilled.
