Imphal, November 06:
Manipur Secretariat Services Association has appealed to the Government for fixing 60 years as the age of superannuation for all categories of State Government employees in Manipur as it is being done in other States like Assam, Nagaland, Mizoram, West Bengal etc.
In a memorandum submitted to the Government, the Association said it is really unfortunate that the Government of Manipur has been allowing only IAS/IPS/IFS/ All India Cadre Officers and the State Government Grade-IV employees to enjoy 60 years as the age of superannuation, as a result of which State Service Officers like MCS/MPS, Manipur Secretariat Service Officers, Secretariat Stenographer Services and all other Grade III and various other State cadre officers like State Finance Service, Revenue Cadre Officers, etc for whom 58 years has been fixed as the age of superannuation having been facing disadvantage and frustration in promotion matter.
So the Government should ensure uniformity in the age of superannuation of the employees of all ranks in accordance to the report of the Fifth Pay Commission, the memorandum said.
