Lamka, February 06: About 350 litres of liquor was seized from one individual by volunteers of Thoubal Athokpam Local Council AMADA yesterday at around 6:30 pm.

However, the owner of the liquor managed to flee, informed a press release issued by AMADA.

The owner of the liquor identified as Athokpam Ingo (42) of Thoubal Athokpam Phura Makhong Mayai Leikai has been asked to give in to Athokpam Local Council by February 8. The seized liquor was consigned to flames today morning at Thoubal Athokpam in front of public, it said.

Moreover, owners of the liquor seized on January 15 identified as Sagolsem Ahanbi of Athokpam Awang Leikai, Athokpam Sanjoy of Athokpam Mayai Leikai, Yumnam Khomdonbi of Athokpam Makha Leikai, Kh Somen of Athokpam Turel Mapal, Kh Rajen of Athokpam Phura Makhong, A Leirencha of Lai Haraopham and Sanasam Maroti of Athokpam Mandop Leirak have also been warned to surrender to AMADA Athokpam Council by February 8, it added.
