Imphal, Sep 03: As in previous years, All Club, Organisation, Association, Meira Paibi Lup (ACOAMLup) would be celebrating Mera Chouchongba festival at THAU ground, Thangmeiband on October 10.While extending its invitation to all the people to participate in the celebration in confirming the inalienable bonding among the hill and the valley people of Manipur, ACOAMLup has appealed to all the organisations in Manipur to restrain from calling bandh, blockade or general strike on the said day to ensure the success of the event.

The Lup has also extended its gratitude to the Government for installing a statue of Haipou Jadonang and dedicating it to the people on the occasion of his 75 death anniversary function held on August 29 at the campus of Imphal central jail, where the freedom fighter had been executed by the British.
