Imphal, Aug 02: Public Grievances and Vigilance Forum, Ukhrul has appealed to the Chief Secretary to direct the Deputy Commissioner of Ukhrul for taking up necessary steps for announcement of he results of SEGP Board meting in respect of Ukhrul district.

In a representation submitted to the Chief Secretary, Forum secretary SD Reisang pointed out that the District SEGP Scrutiny Committee had recommended applicants for selection of SEGP for the second phase for the year 2005-06 in April, 2006 and other districts of the State have started the process of releasing the loan.

However, in case of Ukhrul district, the Deputy Commissioner who is the chairman of the Committee has not yet taken up any initiative in this regard, the representation said, adding that delay in implementation of the scheme is causing lot of inconveniences to many youths of the district.
