Imphal, February 01: Rejecting a report published in the Feb 1 edition of this newspaper regarding use of office vehicles by Speaker Dr Maniruddin Shaikh for election purposes, the Manipur Legislative Assembly in a statement described the news item as �false allegation.�The said vehicles (Gypsys) bearing registration numbers MN01/K 4820, MN01/K-4821 and MN01/K-2700 had already been in the custody of Assembly secretariat pool since January 24, 2007,� maintained the statement issued by Dr Maniruddin while adding that the vehicles were not used for election purposes before this date also.
