Imphal, September 10: In view of the problems being faced by the people of Manipur who have not yet recovered from the impact of the recent 52-day long economic blockade along the National Highways, All Kangleipak Students� Union (AKSU) has appealed to all concerned to desist from calling any bandh or general strike.

In a statement, AKSU president M Totomshana also urged All Manipur Muslim Students� Organisation (AMMSO) to review its decision of calling a 48-hour general strike with effect from midnight of September 12 in the interest of the people and the student community in particular.

Mock UN session: A college level competition in mock UN Session on the topic of �Restructuring the United Nations� under the sponsorship of Directorate of Education (U), Government of Manipur is being organised by Moirang College, Moirang at its premises on September 27.
