Imphal, August 29: A combined force of Police and 3 IRB led by Additional SP of Imphal conducted search operation in and around Singjamei Leishangthem and Sapam Leikai this morning.

Around 70 people were herded off for interrogation during the operation.

However, all of them were release after verification as they were innocent.

Similar search operation was also launched by a combined force of Thoubal Police Commandos and 29th BSF under the overall supervision of SP Thoubal at Tentha Ching from 2 am to 7 am today.

Three men and two women were picked for interrogation, but they were set free as their connection with any underground organisations could not be established.
