Meet condemns politicising issue

Imphal, May 26: A joint public meeting attended by representatives of civil societies, Meira Paibis, student bodies among others was held at Gopal Narayan Mandop at Lamlambung Makhong to discuss the issue arising out of the May 20 incident near RIMS Gate.

The meeting convened under the auspices of Manipur Chemist and Druggists Association (MCDA) strongly condemned politicising the issue and the charges of molestation levelled by KSO and KMA when such thing never happened as well as draggin inthe issue of integrity of Manipur.

Decrying the dillydallying tactics employed allegedly by the Govt instead of resolving the issue, the meeting categorically resolved that the Govt should be held squarely responsible for any untoward incident in this connection.

The meeting further decided the Assn would hand over the matter to the civil societies of Manipur if the Government fails to do its duty and resolve the issue at the earliest possible.
