Imphal, April 25 2009: Kuki Students' Organisation (KSO), Sadar Hills has congratulated Indian Ambassador to Lebanon Nengcha Lhouvum, IFS on receiving the prestigious Prime Minister Award for Excellence in Public Administration, 2009 .

In a statement, information and publicity secretary of student body Thangboi Hmar prayed to God for showering manifold blessing upon Nengcha and her family in the days to come as well.

Daughter of late SL Palal and late Hatkholhing of Kangpokpi Sadar Hills, Nengcha joined Indian Foreign Service (IFS) in 1980 and he was posted as Indian Ambassador to Lebanon in 2005 .

Recognising her crucial role in evacuating Indian Nationals from Beirut during the Hezbollah war in Lebanon in 2006, Nengcha has been honoured with the prestigious award.
