A three-day training programme on the theme of �Replica of indigenous fowls by Giriraja and other synthetic strain birds as scavenger system of farming in Manipur� has been successfully conducted from November 20 to 22 as an off-campus programme of Central Agriculture University (CAU) under the sponsorship of its Krishi Vigyan Kendra Andro.
Dr Sushilkumar Thoudam, who is the Training Assistant of KVK Andro conducted the workshop as resource persons.
Poultry farmers coming from different parts of Imphal East District participated in the training programme.
KVK Andro also organised a one-day training programme on �Rearing of exotic breed Pigs in Manipur� today.
Apart from imparting knowledge on various exotic breeds of pigs like New Hempshire, Berkshire, etc, visits were also paid to the farms and booklets on rearing pigs were also distributed among the farmers.
