All Manipur Government Aided College Students' Union (AMGACSU) has warned of taking up violent agitation if the Government do not take up steps to bring about an understanding with the striking aided college teachers in consideration of the effect of the ongoing strike on the academic careers of the aided college students.
Talking to mediapersons at the Keishampat office of the Union here this afternoon, its vice president L Kanta Meitei claimed that the torching of the Gypsy of Director of Education (S) yesterday was carried out by the Task Force of AMGACSU.
The Task force has also locked up the office of the MOBC located along Governor Road within afternoon, he informed.
With a clear understanding of the difficulties being faced by the aided college students, the Government should try to bring about an amicable solution to end the strike of the aided college teachers at the earliest possible.
Otherwise, the AMGACSU would be constraint to take recourse to more violent agitation in the days to come, he warned.
